ITINERARY
Day 1: Puno – Uros Floating Islands – Llachón Peninsula
Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup in Puno and transfer to the port to board your boat toward the Uros Floating Islands, where you’ll discover the ancient techniques of reed construction and the fascinating history of this ancestral community.
The journey continues across the shimmering waters of Lake Titicaca toward the Llachón Peninsula, a destination rich in tradition and charm. Upon arrival, a local family will warmly welcome you into their rural home for a private homestay, carefully prepared to offer an authentic and intimate cultural experience. During your visit, you’ll be invited to take part in their daily activities, such as farming, artisanal fishing, and traditional weaving, while learning about their ancestral crafts and customs.
In the afternoon, enjoy optional activities like kayaking, sailing, or hiking to the natural viewpoints surrounding the peninsula. The day concludes with a traditional dinner made from local ingredients, accompanied by stories about natural medicine and Andean cosmovision, closing an unforgettable day of cultural connection and genuine hospitality.
Day 2: Llachón – Amantaní Island – Andean Tradition & Spirituality
Begin the day with a typical breakfast, followed by a short demonstration on the use of medicinal plants. Depending on the season, you may participate in local activities such as farming or weaving.
Then, embark on a 45-minute boat ride to Amantaní Island, where local families will welcome you into their rural homes for a homemade Andean lunch. In the afternoon, hike up to the sacred temples of Pachamama and Pachatata, where breathtaking views of the lake and a magnificent sunset await.
The evening ends with a traditional dinner and an optional cultural gathering (Peña Show), a night of music and dance that captures the warmth and community spirit of Amantaní.
Day 3: Amantaní Island – Taquile Island – Living Culture of Lake Titicaca
After breakfast, say goodbye to your hosts and head toward Taquile Island, renowned for its rich textile tradition and unique communal lifestyle. As you ascend toward the main square, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the lake and witness local artisans weaving colorful garments, each piece a symbol of identity and heritage.
At midday, savor a typical lunch made with fresh, local ingredients. Finally, return by boat to Puno, bringing with you not just memories, but the deep experience of having lived the authentic culture of Lake Titicaca.
